However, Playnite doesn't actually close so Kodi gets focus back, but you can't actually do anything because AL is still holding Kodi suspended.
If I had to make a wild guess it would be that the script is taking priority for Kodi to prepare Kodi to take focus once the application (in this case Playnite) is done. Yeah, it's in the background suspended by Advanced Launcher. The surefire solution would be to adapt something like Kodi's Steam launcher for Playnite (it uses auto-hotkey for app handling and scripting along with Python in Kodi). I can manually alt-tab over to the game, but if you're using a controller to navigate, there's no way to switch window order and you have to fumble around for a keyboard. When a UWP game is loaded from Playnite, it returns window focus to suspended Kodi instead of the game. Currently I use the Advanced Launcher plugin from Kodi to launch Playnite full screen version and drop Kodi into a suspended background. I wanted to ask about getting Kodi to play nice with Playnite.
